President El-Sisi Follows Up on Several Projects Carried Out by the Engineering Authority

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with Advisor to the President for Urban Planning Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, Chairman of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces Major General Ihab Al-Far, Director of Armed Forces Engineering Authority Advisory Office Major General Ashraf El-Araby, and Assistant Director of road designs at the Engineering Authority Brigadier General Abdel Aziz El-Feki.

The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that the follow-up meeting discussed the status of a number of projects carried out by the Armed Forces Engineering Authority nationwide. The projects being followed up on are mainly those established in the New Administrative Capital, foremost of which are the People’s Square, international schools, the international center for Egyptian Arabian horses "Marabet Misr”- part of Egypt International City for Olympic Games- and the stock exchange’s headquarters.

The general plan of the international city for cars was also presented. The President directed that the city be fully serviced so that it would include shops, workshops for spare parts, administrative buildings, banks, and registry offices.

The meeting also discussed the status of Al-Galala City, including the city's investment area, as well as the roads and axes leading to it.
The plan to establish the "City of Gold", an integrated city for gold industry and trade in Egypt, was also discussed. The meeting also discussed the development of the road network and axes nationwide.

In this context, the President gave directives to the concerned officials for providing Al-Dabaa axis with all the necessary services, in addition to expanding the road to consist of 8 traffic lanes in both directions. The aim of developing this axis is that it will serve as a major artery for “Delta Egypt” for agricultural production.
The President also directed that the main entrance to the Cairo-Suez Desert Road be expanded to reduce traffic congestion in this area.
