President El-Sisi Follows up on “Decent Life” Initiative Projects

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Dr. Assem El-Gazzar.

The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that the meeting discussed the Ministry of Housing projects within the "Decent Life" initiative.

The President directed that cooperation and coordination be continued between relevant state agencies to implement the various national projects related to the " Decent Life" initiative to develop the Egyptian countryside. His Excellency also called for following up on its status on a regular basis and adhering to the time frame set. It was added that these projects would contribute to the improvement of all aspects of the citizens’ livelihood in the Egyptian countryside across Egypt, especially with regard to the infrastructure and services. Moreover, these projects would play an important role in providing more job opportunities for the residents of target areas.

Dr. El-Gazzar also outlined the ministry’s efforts within the framework of the Decent Life Initiative Phase I projects nationwide, particularly in the sectors of sewage, water and treatment plants, in addition to other service projects and the Decent Housing project.

The President also followed-up on ongoing projects to develop Historic Cairo, seeking to restore the face of Cairo’s civilization in a way that befits its ancient history, especially at the levels of tourism, entertainment and culture. This also includes developing Ain El-Sira Park and nearby areas, as well as Maspero Triangle area and the Nile Corniche, particularly the Ahl Masr Walkway project that is considered one of the key entertainment and tourism projects.

The meeting also reviewed the status of facilities, establishments and services in various new cities and communities nationwide, especially in the New Administrative Capital and New Alamein City.
