President El-Sisi Follows-up on National Service Authority Projects Nationwide

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Director General of the National Service Projects Authority of the Armed Forces, Major General A.H. Walid Abul-Magd, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Contracting Company, Major General A.H. Karam Salem.

The Spokesman for the Presidency said the meeting reviewed projects implemented by the National Service Authority across the republic.

The President gave directives for the comprehensive development of Shaq Al-Thuban area, and for transforming it into an integrated area under the name “The City of Marble and Granite” that shall be environmentally-friendly and deal with solid waste in a safe and scientific manner. This comes within the framework of the state’s efforts to develop local industries as well as reduce environmental pollution, while according the necessary interest to raising the efficiency of the infrastructure in the region to develop the various services there, including electricity, water, sewage, and electrical feeding, and to upgrade the network of the surrounding main axes and its secondary roads.

Major General Abul-Magd offered an overview of the authority’s activities in various sectors, particularly in the field of food security in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture. He aslo reviewed the executive position of the various phases of the Silo Foods Company and the integrated automated slaughterhouses, as well as the cultivation of cane seedlings and the development of the Qaha and Edfina factories’ complexes.
