President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with Advisor to the President of the Republic for Financial Affairs Major General Mohamed Amin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the fund to honor the martyrs Major General El-Sayed El-Ghaly, and the fund’s Executive Director Mr. Ahmed Al-Ashaal.
The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that during the meeting, the Chairman of the fund to honor the martyrs presented the fund’s works and activities during the past year 2020. In this respect, the financial position of the fund as well as the benefits and services it provides for the beneficiaries in coordination with all state authorities concerned, were tackled. In addition, the Chairman showcased the efforts to update the database and issue cards to the fund’s beneficiaries, including martyrs, victims, missing persons, and the injured as well as victims of war and security and terrorist operations along with their families.
The President directed that intensive efforts be continued to develop the mechanisms of the fund and its resources in the interest of the beneficiaries, including families and individuals. In this context, His Excellency directed that the Fund should be concerned with studying the disbursement of compensation to the beneficiaries once annually in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 16 of 2018.
