President El-Sisi on an Inspection Tour of Several Road Network Projects in Cairo

On Friday the 23rd of October, 2020, President El-Sisi visited a number of road development projects across Greater Cairo to inspect the progress. His Excellency started the field visit in the First Settlement of New Cairo, El-Suez Road, Mohamed Naguib Axis which intersects with Ain El-Sokhna Road and Middle Ring Road, where the President have always checked the work progress from eastern Cairo continuing to Al-Badrasheen Flyover – crossing over the Nile- connecting the cities of Helwan and Al-Badrasheen then to West-Cairo areas to assess the overall progress.

His Excellency also inspected road and flyover development projects across Old Cairo’s National Museum of Egyptian Civilization axis, which is vital for the development of South-Cairo area, as part of the renovations occurring in the historical and heritage areas of Ain El-Sira and Ein El-Hayat Lake.

During his inspection visit, President El-Sisi spoke with the engineers and workers in every project site to have a stronger view of the work progress: daily progress and estimated time of completion. His Excellency emphasized the importance of the strict adherence to the standards and specifications of the construction of freeways to be applied specifically on the Middle Ring Road so it can accommodate the highest numbers of lanes, without any traffic intersections, where proper alternatives – bridges and tunnels – are used instead to eradicate traffic congestion, reduce the travel time and slash accidents to preserve the lives of the citizens, while complying with the construction schedule agreed upon.
