President El-Sisi Follows Up on Assessment Tests for Candidates of Military Colleges and Institutes

The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi visited the headquarters of the Military Academy this morning and followed up on the assessment tests for the students applying for admission to military colleges and institutes. Minister of Defense and Military Production General Mohamed Zaki and Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Mohamed Farid Hegazy received President El-Sisi upon his arrival.

President El-Sisi affirmed that the men of the Armed Forces are highly selected. Candidates are selected to attend the Academy according to the finest methods of selection based on transparency, impartiality and integrity. The applicants are from all categories of the Egyptian people. Priority is given to the students who successfully pass all of the scientific, medical, psychological and sports tests.

The President praised the distinguished level of the students and their keenness to join the Armed Forces in order to defend Egypt's security and stability with honor and to be one of the most important pillars of building future leaders and officers within the Armed Forces.

The Spokesman stated that the President had a discussion with the applicants on a range of national, regional and international topics and issues, as well as general information about the history of Egypt and the comprehensive renaissance it has witnessed in various fields. The President praised the distinguished assessment test systems that is used to select the best elements suitable for joining the armed forces.

The President also affirmed that the students of military colleges and institutes and their fellow students of other universities are the hope and aspiration of Egypt toward a better future. He emphasized that the risks and challenges Egypt faces require preparing generations by raising their awareness and correct understanding of the issues of their nation and exerting every effort to develop the academic curricula and skills to confront the challenges the country faces.
