President El-Sisi Receives Vice President of the Brazilian Federal Court of Accounts

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received Vice President Minister of the Brazilian Federal Court of Accounts (TCU), Mr. Bruno Dantas, in the presence of Head of the Central Auditing Organization, Counselor Hisham Badawy.

The official Spokesman for the Presidency stated that President El-Sisi welcomed the Brazilian official visit to Egypt, praising the distinguished friendship between Egypt and Brazil, stressing Egypt's keenness to deepen them across various fields, particularly in the field of public financial control and accounting, in light of their shared visions and experiences as well as the extensive professionalism enjoyed by the Central Auditing Organization in Egypt and the Brazilian Federal Court of Accounts. President El-Sisi also reviewed the efforts made by Egypt through its various strategies to combat corruption, review government performance, and provide an atmosphere of transparency, integrity, and accountability.

Mr. Dantas expressed his honor to meet President El-Sisi, voicing his appreciation for the strong historical ties between Egypt and Brazil and stressing his country's keenness to enhance mutual understanding with Egypt in the field of financial and legal supervision and combating corruption. This is particularly in light of the important role of the relevant agencies in the two countries in protecting state funds and property. In this regard, Mr. Dantas praised Egypt’s achievements under the leadership of President El-Sisi during in the field of comprehensive development.

The Spokesman added that the meeting witnessed an exchange of views on ways to maximize cooperation between the Supreme Audit Institutions in the two countries, especially within the framework of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions “INTOSAI”, in light of it being the international voice of the Supreme Audit Institutions, and a key platform for exchanging national expertise and experiences regarding the provision of regulatory standards for the public sector and the promotion of governance principles.
