President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi affirmed in the joint press conference with the Hungarian President that it is important for the Ethiopian statements regarding the inviolability of Egypt’s Nile water rights to be translated into a binding agreement on the filling and operation of the dam. Noting that Egypt only wants its exact share of the water without any effect or decrease, the President stressed that Egypt does not have any other water resources except for the Nile River; Egypt’s civilization, tracing back thousands of years, thrived on its banks.
