President El-Sisi Holds Trilateral Summit with the Kings of Bahrain and Jordan in Sharm El-Sheikh

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a trilateral summit with Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Jordan’s King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, in Sharm El-Sheikh.

The Spokesman for the Presidency said President El-Sisi welcomed his brothers, the kings of Bahrain and Jordan, as dear guests of Egypt. The President expressed appreciation for the robust and historic relations that bind the three countries at both the official and popular levels. President El-Sisi confirmed that Egypt looks forward to fostering constructive cooperation among Egypt, Bahrain and Jordan so as to achieve the common interests of their peoples and strengthen efforts toward joint Arab action, notably in light of the formidable challenges resulting from the multiple regional and international developments.

Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Jordan’s King Abdullah II lauded the firm bonds the three countries share, stressing keenness on further promoting cooperation with Egypt to the level of strategic partnership, in order for the three countries to leverage the opportunities and potential in their cooperation. They reiterated that these relations constitute a cornerstone for maintaining regional security and stability and restoring balance in the region, in light of the pivotal importance of Egypt, Bahrain and Jordan regionally and internationally.

The meeting tackled the close brotherly relations and the constructive bilateral cooperation among the three countries as well as their coordination with regard to various issues of common interest. This is in addition to developments at the regional and international arenas and challenges facing the region.

The leaders underscored the profound brotherly and strategic relations between their countries, affirming the need to bolster and further advance them toward higher levels in order to realize the common objectives and interests.

The leaders also welcomed the upcoming summit that will be hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia among the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq and the United State of America.
