Egypt Airlifts Emergency Aid to Flood-Battered Sudan

Under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Egypt airlifts more emergency aid to the Sudanese people hit by the flash floods that have ravaged Sudan recently.

Two military transport planes, loaded with tons of food supplies, took off from Cairo East Air Base en route to Khartoum International Airport. Many civil society institutions contributed to this batch of aid in coordination with the Sudanese side.

The Sudanese officials expressed their profound appreciation and thanks for the full-fledged support Egypt has been offering during the past period, which comes as no surprise since Egypt has always been supporting African countries.

This aid is an affirmation of Egypt’s pivotal role in supporting all regional and international humanitarian efforts aimed to alleviate the burden on the people of Sudan.
