Egypt Airlifts Emergency Aid to Flood-Affected People in Sudan

Under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Egypt airlifts more emergency aid and offers full-fledged support to the Sudanese people hit by the flash floods that have ravaged Sudan recently as a gesture of solidarity to help the people of Sudan overcome this crisis.

Two military transport planes, loaded with food and medical supplies, took off from Cairo East Air Base en route to Khartoum International Airport to help lift the burden on the people of Sudan.

The Sudanese officials expressed their profound appreciation and thanks for the efforts Egypt has made and for standing by Sudan in times of adversity and crisis. The Sudanese officials stressed that this aid reflects the genuine love and deep historical ties binding Egypt and Sudan.

This aid is an affirmation of Egypt’s leverage in Africa and pivotal role in supporting all African countries, particularly in times of adversity and crisis.
