Martyr Abanoub Gerges Floating Bridge in West Qantara

Martyr Abanoub Gerges Floating Bridge is located in Ismailia city, West Qantara.

It was designed by Port Said Naval Arsenal. It is 350 meters in length. It consists of 3 parts, the first of which is a floating part with a length of 257 meters, consisting of 3 identical iron pontoons with dimensions of 85 meters length, width of 15 meters, and height of 2.25 meters per each pontoon.

The Suez Canal Authority designed it, under the supervision of the Arsenal Department. It has two fixed parts of 93 meters long; they are the anchors for the two ends of the bridge.
