President El-Sisi Meets Oman’s Deputy Prime Minister in Muscat

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met in Muscat with Omani Deputy Prime Minister, HH Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said.

The Spokesman for the Presidency said the President thanked the Omani Deputy Prime Minister for the warm reception and hospitality. President El-Sisi expressed appreciation of the close and historical relations as well as the extended and intertwined social and cultural ties that unite the two brotherly countries on both the official and popular levels. The President stressed Egypt's keenness on promoting cooperation with the brotherly Sultanate of Oman toward a sustainable framework of economic integration and strategic cooperation, particularly in light of the formidable challenges as well as the security, economic and social crises in the region.

The Omani Deputy Prime Minister welcomed the President as a dear guest of Oman, underscoring the profound bonds that unite the two brotherly countries. HH confirmed his country’s keenness to further advance cooperation with Egypt to the level of strategic partnership for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples, and as a cornerstone for maintaining regional security and stability and restoring balance in the region. This comes in light of Egypt’s pivotal importance on the regional and international levels. The Omani Deputy Prime Minister expressed his country’s interest to benefit from the successful Egyptian experience in implementing development projects and comprehensive economic reforms, which contributed to the resilience of Egyptian economy in the face of the various regional and international challenges.

The meeting reviewed methods to further enhance the solid relations between the two countries in various fields, particularly in light of the results emanating from the Joint Business Council and the Egyptian-Omani Joint Committee, which was held in Muscat in January 2022. The talks also tackled the most prominent regional issues of mutual interest. The two sides agreed to intensify coordination and follow-up in the upcoming period.
