President El-Sisi Meets with PM and Several Ministers and Officials

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Social Solidarity Ms. Nevine Al-Kabbaj, Head of the Central Agency for Organization and Administration Dr. Saleh El-Sheikh, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Financial Affairs Major General Mohamed Amin, and Director of the Information Systems Department of the Armed Forces Major General Yasser Abu Mandour as well as Chairman of the National Organization for Social Insurance Jamal Awad.

The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that during the meeting, they discussed the development of the National Organization for Social Insurance (NOSI).

In this context, the President issued directives for the development and comprehensive electronic modernization of the National Organization for Social Insurance (NOSI) to keep pace with the digital transformation brought about across the State, as part of the plan to restructure the Organization and raise the efficiency of its infrastructure in order to improve the level of insurance services provided to pensioners and beneficiaries.

The President also directed that cooperation between the National Organization for Social Insurance and the Postal Authority should be increased to take advantage of the ongoing development in post offices for providing pension services to citizens in accordance with the vision of establishing full-fledged service complexes nationwide.

The meeting addressed efforts made to strengthen the social protection network through a number of programs that mainly support the most needy groups. In this regard, the plan for developing and modernizing the National Organization for Social Insurance was addressed within the framework of the Organization’s future vision. This vision includes efforts to modernize the Organization's administrative structure and affiliates to serve citizens and the timetable set out for implementing this new system, which represent the state’s endeavor to establish a digital comprehensive social insurance system that is both efficient and sustainable. This system shall also provide the necessary services and meet the needs of customers (i.e. state employees) through mechanization, networking and institutional and human resource development, so that this update would complement previous vital pension-related resolutions.
