The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that the meeting addressed the developments in the activities of "The Sovereign Fund of Egypt” for investment and development, its work strategy and targeted projects.
The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that the meeting addressed the developments in the activities of "The Sovereign Fund of Egypt” for investment and development, its work strategy and targeted projects.
The President directed that the Sovereign Fund of Egypt should focus, in its work mechanism, on maximizing the added value of the state’s assets and properties through adopting a scientific vision to present the best alternatives, make the optimal use of these assets, and achieve optimal benefit, successful management and highest return.
The President also directed that the fund’s role should be maximized when it comes to localizing industry and technology, as an investment target between major Egyptian and international companies, especially in the fields of artificial intelligence, communications, education, transport and logistics services. The President also stressed the importance of the fund’s definition of its role on the international scene as a new channel so as to attract investments to the Egyptian economy, in furtherance of the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030, which consider the private sector a key partner in the development process.
The situation of El-Tahrir Complex Building was also presented, including studies and proposals for its development. The President emphasized the importance of harmonizing and integrating efforts of development and modernization in the downtown area of Cairo.

The President was also updated on the fund’s activity in the logistics sector, especially the establishment of strategic warehouses to store medications and medical supplies in accordance with the global standards for storage to meet the needs of the health sector nationwide and to establish supply stores in cooperation with the Ministry of Supply in order to increase the strategic stock of commodities according to the most needy areas in different governorates.
