President El-Sisi on an Inspection Tour of Axes Network in East Cairo

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi went on an inspection tour this afternoon to follow up on the latest operational steps and workflow on the new network of axes and roads in east Cairo, the extension of Cairo/Ismailia road, and Gesr El-Suez. He also followed up on the overall development carried out in the vicinity of El Shams Sporting Club and Cairo Airport, as well as the new axes and flyovers, connecting the neighborhoods of Heliopolis, Nasr City and New Cairo.

The President called for speeding up the implementation of the engineering plan enlisted in the development agenda of these areas by establishing the targeted road network and its facilities in accordance with the axes and bridges development plan for Cairo. The goal is to facilitate traffic flow and ease citizens’ daily lives, especially as the new academic year is approaching.

The President also emphasized the importance of adhering to the precautionary and preventive measures against coronavirus, in order to guarantee the safety and health of all workers at construction sites.
