The plant was developed as part of the state’s strategy to strengthen national industry through the latest global technologies. The new production line enhances industrial value and reduces reliance on imports. It represents a vital step in the integrated modernization of the Aluminum Company of Egypt, boosting its production capabilities and consolidating its competitive position both locally and internationally. As a strategic cornerstone of the national economy, the project was successfully implemented in cooperation with the Italian company, Properzi.
The line operates with a production capacity of 60,000 tons per year of high-quality aluminum wire, representing a significant leap in the size and quality of production. It doubles the company’s production capacity of aluminum wire to reach 120,000 tons per year.
This production contributes to meeting the needs of the local market and opens up wider prospects for export, as the company's production is also exported to several foreign markets, including: Spain, Poland, Morocco, Italy, Syria, Slovenia, and Greece. Numerous advance orders have been placed by international customers for the new line’s output.
The project work also included the installation of all mechanical and electrical components of the machine and auxiliary units, including cooling towers, air compressors, and electrical transformers, up to the programming stage.
