President El-Sisi Meets Egyptian Children’s Author Samah Abu Bakr Ezzat

Today, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met with Egyptian children’s author Samah Abu Bakr Ezzat. The Minister of Culture, Dr. Ines Abdel Dayem, was also present.
The Spokesman for the Presidency stated that Ms. Abu Bakr Ezzat expressed her honor to meet with the President. She confirmed that the success and appreciation that her writings have received encouraged her to intensify efforts in the coming period in the field of national literature for children, referring in this context to her recent literary project titled "Life and Dignity", inspired by the Decent Life Initiative, which presents the achievements and goals of the initiative in a simple and attractive way for children.
The President expressed that he follows the literary works written by Ms. Abu Bakr Ezzat, which won many local, Arab and international awards, stressing the importance of children’s literature in raising the awareness of future generations in a simple way regarding Egypt’s national security, ways to achieve sustainable development, in addition to raising the sense of patriotism among children.
The President emphasized the importance of mobilizing the creative talents raising children, including intellectuals, scholars and artists, to crystalize an integrated national strategy to build the character and capabilities of children at a very young age.
The minister of culture presented the activities of celebrating “Cairo, the capital of culture in the Islamic world”, which will start tomorrow evening. This selection was made by the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO). The Capitals of Islamic Culture program aims to strengthen bonds between the peoples who share many factors by establishing a creative dialogue, strengthening intellectual communication among the peoples of the Islamic nation, highlighting the rich heritage that embraces concepts that call for tolerance and coexistence before the world and presenting the true image of the ancient Islamic civilization.
