El-Sisi Meets the Leader of Japan's Komeito Party

The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency said that, today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received at his residence in Yokohama the Leader of Japan's Komeito Party, Mr. Natsuo Yamaguchi. Komeito Party is a partner of the current coalition government in Japan.

 

Mr. Yamaguchi lauded the longstanding historical relations between Egypt and Japan. He underscored his country's commitment to fostering closer bilateral relations in various fields, notably in light of Egypt's pivotal role in the Middle East and its position as a cornerstone for security and stability in the region.

 

President El-Sisi expressed his appreciation for the Egyptian-Japanese ties, commending the Japanese people for they are an example to be followed when it comes to their commitment to the values of work, dedication and mastery. The President looked forward to strengthening channels of engagement and cooperation with Japan so as to enrich their bilateral relations and benefit from the Japanese expertise and experience in a multitude of areas. Those include in particular the educational system which is characterized by instilling moral values and team work spirit in young people.

 

The Spokesman added that the meeting discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations, particularly in trade, investment and tourism. President El-Sisi emphasized Egypt's interest in increasing the flow of Japanese tourism and to further promote cultural exchange between Egypt and Japan.

 

The Leader of Japan's Komeito Party reiterated that Japan welcomes and values its relations with Egypt and seeks to enhance them across all areas of mutual interest. He lauded Egypt's efforts at the various levels and its numerous economic and developmental achievements and successes.
