President El-Sisi Launches the National Strategy for Human Rights

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi launched the National Strategy for Human Rights, which includes the main aspects of the State’s comprehensive concept of human rights.

The strategy complements Egypt’s national development efforts, which consolidate the principles of establishing the New Republic and achieve the goals of Egypt Vision 2030.

The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that the National Strategy for Human Rights is the first integrated and long term strategy of its kind in Egypt.

The strategy involves developing state policies and approaches in dealing with a number of related files and building on the actual progress achieved during the past years with regard to promoting rights and freedoms and overcoming the underlying challenges.

The aim is to further enhance and respect all civil, political, social, economic and cultural rights. These steps are prompted by the state’s efforts in support of the rights of women, children, youth, the elderly, persons with special abilities and all segments of society.
