President El-Sisi Inspects New Administrative Capital

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi made a tour of inspection this morning of the New Administrative Capital. His Excellency was updated on the implementation status of a number of neighborhoods and buildings, including Egypt’s Islamic Cultural Center that includes Misr Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world. The mosque can take up to 109 thousand people, with a 140-meter-high minaret.

It also includes a group of spacious halls for celebrations, events as well as Quranic schools for men, women and children, a parking lot and a seven-story garage that can accommodate up to 3000 cars.

His Excellency also inspected the building of the House of Representatives in the New Administrative Capital, the largest in the Middle East. The main hall can take up to 1000 members. This building has threefold the area of the Parliament’s building in Cairo. Attached to the main hall is a group of service buildings that include: places of worship, a medical center, a police building, a fire station, a civil registry office, hearing rooms, a media center, an information center, a training center, in addition to green spaces. The main hall is surmounted by a central dome, one of the largest domes that have been built in the world.

The President also inspected the workflow in the government district in which there are the headquarters of the ministries and various government agencies, as well as the cabinet headquarter.

His Excellency was also briefed on the status of the People's Square, which has the highest and largest flagpole in the world, and the Memorial which is of a Pharaonic character in terms of the use of columns and ornaments. The Memorial consists of two circular parts on which there are the names of Egypt's martyrs throughout the ages.

The officials in the construction sites updated President El-Sisi on the current implementation plans and completion rates. In this regard, His Excellency called for adhering to the time frames and the construction standards for all buildings and establishments underway within the scope of the New Administrative Capital that represents the new Egyptian state with its modern reality.
