Under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and within the framework of Egypt’s constant support to the state of South Sudan during times of crises, a military plane laden with tons of food aid was dispatched to South Sudan from the Arab Republic of Egypt to contribute to efforts to counter the recent flash floods in the country.
The move underscores Egypt’s pivotal role in the continent and in support of African countries to overcome all crises facing the peoples of Africa.
