Mrs. Entissar El-Sisi, wife of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, met Mrs. Brigitte Macron, wife of French President Emmanuel Macaron, at Al-Ittihadiya Palace in the framework of the official visit by the French President and his wife to Egypt, which lasted for 3 days from 29 to 27 January.
The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency, said that Mrs. Entissar El-Sisi welcomed Mrs. Brigitte Macaron, noting that Egypt and France have close, historical relations of multiple dimensions that go beyond the official level and extend to the cultural one and which represents a pivotal role in the relations between the two countries. She also asserted that the Egyptian people respect the French-Egyptian relations and appreciate the French interest that of the government and the people- in the ancient Egyptian civilization. The Egyptian people also respect the French culture and appreciate the great ideas and values the French thinkers and philosophers came up with and that have contributed to the advancement of human civilization, she added.
For her part, Mrs. Brigitte Macron expressed her happiness to visit Egypt and her appreciation for the warm reception from the Egyptian side and France’s great pride of the Egyptian people and government. Mrs. Macron also affirmed the appreciation of the French people for the Egyptian civilization, which has contributed to the course of the development of the whole human civilization. She noted that she was happy to visit Abu Simbel temple in Aswan yesterday and stressed France's keenness to further promote relations between the two countries especially at the cultural levels.
The Spokesman added that the meeting dealt with a number of social and cultural issues of common interest, especially the issues of women empowerment at the political, economic and social levels, child care and protection from exploitation in all its forms, addressing means of providing a preventive and treatment framework for their problems, civil society initiatives in the fields of health, education and housing and social Justice achievement.
