President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.

President El-Sisi and HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman focused on the latest developments in the ongoing escalation between the Palestinians and Israelis, the formidable danger it poses to the lives of civilians, as well as its threat to the stability of the region.

They reiterated the importance of exercising self-restraint at this crucial stage and of giving priority to the voice of reason and the path of calm, in order to prevent the security and humanitarian situation from deteriorating and from spiraling out of control.

Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, stated that they agreed to continue consultations and coordination between Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the coming period, so as to confirm the Arab vision with regard to the Palestinian cause. This vision revolves around achieving a just and comprehensive settlement, based on the two-state solution, in accordance with the references of international legitimacy, which requires immediate calm and ending military confrontations in all directions.
