Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in Riyadh.
The Spokesman for the Presidency said the meeting discussed developments in Gaza. Both sides confirmed the firm position of the two countries in terms of rejecting the liquidation of the Palestinian issue and the displacement of Palestinians, and the necessity of reaching a ceasefire and the entry of humanitarian aid to end the suffering of the people of Gaza, in addition to continuing efforts to establish an independent Palestinian state, accordance with relevant international references.
The meeting touched on bilateral relations and developments in Syria. The President stressed Egypt’s keenness on a comprehensive political settlement in a way that achieves the interests of the Syrian people, preserves Syria's unity and territorial integrity and restores security and stability in the country.
