Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi participated in the opening session of the Africa-France Summit, in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, which is held under the theme “Africa Forward Summit”.
Spokesman for the Presidency Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy said the President arrived this morning at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, where he was received by President of the Republic of Kenya, William Ruto and President of the Republic of France, Emmanuel Macron.
President El-Sisi attended the opening session of the summit, which featured keynote addresses by the Kenyan and French Presidents, as well as Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. António Guterres, and Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Mr. Mahamoud Ali Youssouf. Following the session, the President joined the official commemorative photograph taken of the participating leaders and heads of delegations.
The President also participated in a working session dedicated to discussing the reform of the international financial architecture and enhancing African nations' access to sustainable financing.
During the session, President El-Sisi delivered Egypt’s address to the summit, outlining Egyptian and African priorities with regard to the restructuring of the global financial system.
