President El-Sisi Speaks with KSA Crown Prince HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi spoke over the phone with Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Spokesman for the Presidency Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy said the President reiterated Egypt’s full support and unequivocal solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia amidst the current developments in the Middle East. President El-Sisi emphasized Egypt’s vehement rejection and absolute condemnation of the Iranian attacks against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, considering them an unacceptable violation of the sovereignty of a fellow Arab nation. The President further stressed the necessity of respecting the sovereignty of all Arab states and of safeguarding the resources of their peoples.

President El-Sisi reviewed Egypt’s ongoing communications with the various regional and international parties aimed at de‑escalating tensions in the region. The President underscored the common destiny that Egypt and the Gulf states share, affirming that their national security is indivisible. The President also valued the efforts undertaken by the Kingdom under the wise leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, to preserve regional stability and contain the current escalation.

For his part, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman valued Egypt’s position in support of the Kingdom, asserting the historical and fraternal bonds that unite the two brotherly nations. His Royal Highness also expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s role in safeguarding the stability of Arab states.

The call also discussed ways to strengthen joint Arab efforts to confront the challenges facing Arab countries and to advance the concept of Arab national security. It was further agreed during the call to continue consultations between the two brotherly nations in support of security and stability in the region.
