Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received Jared Kushner, son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump, in El Alamein. The meeting was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates,
Dr. Badr Abdel-Atty and Head of the General Intelligence Service Minister Hassan Rashad.
The Spokesman for the Presidency Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, stated that Mr. Kushner conveyed to President El-Sisi the greetings of President Trump.
President El-Sisi emphasized the pivotal and strategic relations that Egypt and the United States share. The President asked Mr. Kushner to convey his greetings to President Trump, expressing his appreciation for the level of cooperation and coordination between the two countries across various areas of mutual interest.
The meeting covered developments in the Middle East. President El-Sisi stressed the importance of confronting shared challenges, in light of the two countries' commitment to supporting security and stability at both the regional and international levels. The President also noted the need to resolve the various crises in the region to preserve regional stability.
Additionally, the meeting also addressed developments pertinent to the Palestinian issue. There was emphasis on the need for all parties to fulfill their obligations under the agreement to stop the war in the Gaza Strip, which was reached during the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit in October 2025.
For his part, Mr. Kushner valued the close coordination between Egypt and the United States, expressing his appreciation for Egypt's efforts, as well as the President's personal efforts, to promote peace and stability in the region. He stressed that Egypt is a key partner for the United States in the Middle East.
