President El-Sisi Receives President of Finland Stubb at Al-Ittihadiya Palace

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received the President of the Republic of Finland, Alexander Stubb, who is currently on an official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said the official reception ceremony included an honor guard salute, the playing of the national anthems of both countries, and the taking of a commemorative photograph.

This was followed by a bilateral meeting between the two Presidents and later an expanded session of talks attended by the delegations of both nations. President El-Sisi then hosted a luncheon in honor of the Finnish President and his accompanying delegation.

President El-Sisi welcomed President Stubb’s visit to Egypt, affirming Egypt's pride in its bilateral relations with Finland. The President stressed the importance of sustained collaboration to advance these relations across various sectors, including the political, economic, and trade domains.

For his part, President Stubb expressed his pride in visiting Egypt and meeting with the President. He conveyed his appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality. The Finnish President emphasized his country’s commitment to forging closer bilateral ties and promoting them to broader prospects, grounded in the shared potential of both countries to drive cooperation in numerous fields. The President of Finland also underscored the importance of consulting with the President on regional and international crises of mutual concern. In this context, President Stubb highlighted his keenness on accompanying a delegation of Finnish business leaders to explore opportunities for Finnish companies to benefit from Egypt’s investment climate.

Following the talks, the two Presidents held a joint press conference.
