This evening, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ahmed al-Sharaa, on the sidelines of the Extraordinary Arab Summit, which was held in the New Administrative Capital.
Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, noted that at the beginning of the meeting, President El-Sisi confirmed Egypt’s commitment to supporting the Syrian people and achieving their aspirations, taking into consideration their will and choices to realize stability and development. The President confirmed the vital importance of launching a comprehensive political process, encompassing all components of the Syrian people, without the exclusion of any party.
President El-Sisi also emphasized Egypt’s keenness on the unity and territorial integrity of Syria, reiterating its rejection of any aggression against Syrian territories.
Syria’s President affirmed his commitment to starting a new chapter of fraternal relations with Arab countries, particularly Egypt. He underscored his interest to work jointly with Egypt to serve the interests of both countries and the Arab nation. Syrian President al-Sharaa valued Egypt’s efforts in support of the unity and territorial integrity of Arab countries and the restoration of regional stability.
