Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, for the official inauguration of the new Headquarters of Senghor University, in New Borg El-Arab City.
Spokesman for the Presidency Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy said President El-Sisi welcomed French President Macron upon his arrival at the Senghor University’s new Headquarters. A commemorative photo was taken on the occasion, followed by an expanded session of talks between President El-Sisi and President Macron, attended by the two countries’ delegations.
President El-Sisi welcomed President Macron’s visit to Egypt, stressing that it reflects the outstanding Egyptian-French friendship relations. The President lauded the remarkable progress in bilateral relations across various spheres, particularly following their elevation to the level of a strategic partnership during the French President’s visit to Egypt in April 2025.
President El-Sisi emphasized the vital necessity to forge closer bilateral cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, education, industry, and transport, in a manner that serves the mutual interests of the two friendly peoples and contributes to advancing the strategic relations between Egypt and the European Union.
