Takafol w Karama

Introducing the program

It is a program providing conditional cash assistance to poor and needy families by objectively targeting families with low social and economic indicators that prevent them from fulfilling their basic needs and securing their children’s basic health and education rights. The program also extends protection nets to include segments incapable of working or producing like the elderly, or those with total or partial disability.

It is worth mentioning that on Tuesday July 26, 2022, President El-Sisi gave directives to expand social protection and increase the number of families benefiting from “Takafol w Karama” by adding one million families to the program. This brings the number of the program’s beneficiaries to 20 million nationwide.
