The new tourist walkway connects the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Pyramids area and enjoys a distinctive civilized and architectural style.
The walkway spans a distance of approximately 1.27 km, with an average width ranging from 13.5 meters to 27.5 meters. It starts from the Grand Egyptian Museum's designated waiting area, passing along the Fayoum Road, which features the visual identity of the Grand Egyptian Museum, and ultimately terminates inside the archaeological area with its own historical and civilized identity and texture.
The walkway was designed and executed to a world-class standard befitting the importance and value of the area. This is part of the State's comprehensive tourism plan to upgrade the Pyramids archaeological area and the museum's vicinity, providing a direct and comfortable route between the Museum and the Pyramids area. It includes the option for walking or using environment-friendly electric vehicles.
The "Tourist Walkway" has tangibly contributed to improving the aesthetic appearance of the Pyramids area and providing an integrated and distinctive tourist experience for visitors from all over the world.
