Damietta Port received the final batch of the project consisting of 10 advanced electric yard cranes (RTG) dedicated to the "Tahya Misr 1" container terminal at Damietta Port. With the arrival of this new batch, the number of yard cranes rises to 40. This equipment is part of the environmentally friendly operating strategy, in line with the goals of Egypt's Vision 2030 in the areas of sustainability and reducing carbon emissions.
The cranes have high operational capabilities, with a height of 21 meters and a lifting capacity of up to 41 tons. They also support dual-system operation that allows operation with electricity or diesel, which enhances operational flexibility and efficiency in various conditions. They were manufactured by the Chinese company Genma-Kalmar, one of the world's leading companies in the manufacture of advanced handling equipment.
