The length of the road is 40 km, and its width is 41 meters. It includes 4 lanes, the width of each is 3.65 meters. The road includes 62 industrial works (38 bridges + 24 tunnels). Tts implementation has been supervised by 5 companies. The daily traffic volume is expected to reach 60 thousand cars per day,. The average travel time is 25 minutes, meaning that it saves 65 minutes per trip.
The road was created with the aim of contributing to reducing traffic congestion from the ring road in Greater Cairo, and the old “Shubra-Banha” road, connecting 6 main roads: Greater Cairo Ring RoadRegional Ring Road, Benha-Mansoura, Minya al-Qamh - Zagazig, Cairo - Alexandria Agricultural Road. This new road is of a special importance for the people of the governorates of Dakahlia, Sharkia and Menoufia.
