Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, performed Friday prayers at El-Mosheer Tantawy Mosque, coinciding with Egypt and the Armed Forces' celebrations of Martyr's and Veterans' Day and the victories of the 10th of Ramadan.
Also performing Friday prayers were His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Dr. Ahmad Al-Tayeb, Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production General Abdel Megeed Saqr, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, along with a number of ministers, governors, commanders of the main branches, commanders of the Armed Forces and the police, as well as a number of officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers of the Armed Forces.
Sheikh Dr. Sayed Abdel Bary delivered the Friday sermon titled "The Month of Victories and Martyr's Day," in which he highlighted the most prominent epics and heroics achieved by the Islamic nation during the holy month of Ramadan. He noted that this holy month witnessed successive victories, achieved through sincere reliance on Allah, striving, and perseverance, leading to the ultimate victory on the 10th of Ramadan. The sermon also addressed the virtue of martyrdom and the status of the martyr who sacrifices his life to preserve the nation's security and protect its sanctities. He emphasized that we must all follow in the footsteps of the righteous martyrs in sacrificing our most precious possessions to keep the nation's flag rising high.
After the prayer, President El-Sisi met with the commanders of the Armed Forces in the presence of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production General Saqr and Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Khalifa.
President El-Sisi greeted the Armed Forces on the anniversary of the 10th of Ramadan victories, which coincides with Egypt and the Armed Forces' celebration of Martyr's and Veterans' Day. The President paid tribute to the souls of the nation's righteous martyrs, who, with pride and honor, illuminated the path to continuing the journey of giving and turning the dream of national advancement and progress into reality in all sectors of the Egyptian state.
