President El-Sisi Reviews Progress of Projects Implemented by Military Production Companies

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher, and the Minister of State for Military Production, Dr. Salah Soliman.

The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said the President reviewed the progress of projects implemented by military production companies and their affiliated units, as well as plans for developing defense industries. The meeting also reviewed the manufacturing, technological, and technical capabilities and available resources of these companies and units, which contribute to meeting the Armed Forces' needs for various military products. The President emphasized the pivotal role military production companies play in developing military products to fulfill the requirements of the Armed Forces.

The President also followed up on efforts made by the Ministry of State for Military Production to attract more local and foreign investments across various sectors, strengthen partnership with the private sector, as well as deepening and localizing national industries using Artificial Intelligence and modern technologies. The President stressed the need to increase the percentage of local manufacturing, and to establish strategic partnerships with major international companies specializing in this field to enable the acquirement and localization of modern technology within Egypt.

The meeting also reviewed plans to enhance the capabilities of military production companies and improve the efficiency of work systems by developing digital infrastructure, utilizing AI applications, and expanding training programs in cooperation with Egyptian universities, research centers, and specialized academies.

President El-Sisi emphasized the need to invest in human capital within the military production sector and adhere to quality and industrial safety standards, while continuously improving performance, adopting the latest technologies, and enhancing the efficiency of work systems. The President also stressed the importance of continuing efforts to develop the companies and factories affiliated with the Ministry of Military Production, given their vital role in supporting the national economy.
