President El-Sisi Heads to Qatar to Participate in Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi heads to the State of Qatar to participate in the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit, which convenes in Doha to discuss Israel's aggression against Qatar.

Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said President El-Sisi’s participation affirms Egypt’s full solidarity with the State of Qatar, its government and people, and demonstrates Egypt’s steadfast position in standing by its brothers in the face of this aggression, which constitutes a blatant violation of all international charters and norms.

The President will deliver Egypt’s speech during the summit’s proceedings, in which he will outline Cairo’s vision on the latest developments in the Middle East and reaffirm the constants of Egypt’s policy in reinforcing regional security and stability.

The President is expected to hold a number of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the summit to discuss ways to strengthen joint cooperation and coordination.
