Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Eng. Randa El Menshawy, President's Advisor for Urban Planning

The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said the Minister of Housing reviewed the progress of the ministry's work plan, including the expansion of housing programs; the status of projects implemented in various governorates; the progress of the presidential initiative "Housing for All Egyptians"; the progress of the middle- and upper-middle-income housing program to construct approximately 220,000 units; and the luxury housing program to construct approximately 130,000 units. She noted the launch of the first phase of the private sector participation program for low-income housing units, which will include the construction of 17,000 units in eight new cities.
President El-Sisi followed up on the progress of the "Decent Life" project. The President stressed the need to complete the first phase of the project this year and to give priority to the construction of sewage treatment plants in the second phase. The meeting also addressed the latest pertinent to the Great Transfiguration Project and Al-Fustat Park, as well as the projects implemented by the Ministry of Housing in the North Coast and Red Sea. The meeting also covered ongoing projects for the development of the North Coast and their delivery plans, particularly the Marina 8 project, the Marina Center development plan, marine works on the beach and the 24th District inlet, and the developments in the establishment and operation of New Alamein City, including the status of the beachfront towers and their delivery plan, and the construction of the Latin Quarter. The meeting also reviewed the progress of the International Conference and Exhibition Center in the Heritage City, which will serve as an integrated platform for hosting international conferences, events, and major exhibitions, therefore reinforcing New Alamein City's position as a regional hub for economic, cultural, and tourism activities. The Minister also presented a proposal for the implementation of the Cultural Center within the Cinema Complex in the Heritage City, and the buildings targeted for operation in the City.

She reviewed developments regarding alternative housing related to the old rent law and efforts made to promote new rental and rent-to-own options. She also reviewed the progress of the Great Transfiguration project in Saint Catherine and the actual completion rates of its various components.
President El-Sisi emphasized the importance of setting specific timelines for completing the projects and eliminating obstacles that might impede investing in the sectors of housing, utilities, and drinking water. The President also stressed the importance of the close monitoring of implementation rates through intensified field visits to ensure these projects are completed to the highest quality standards, reflecting the scale of comprehensive development in the country and creating an integrated environment that meets the needs of residents and visitors.
