President El-Sisi Visits Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi made short visits to the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to affirm Egypt's solidarity and full support for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states in light of the current regional situation. The visits also aimed to reiterate Egypt's unwavering stance in condemning and rejecting the unjustified and heinous attacks on the territories of brotherly nations and attempts to undermine their security, stability, and the well-being of their peoples.

The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said the President first visited the Kingdom of Bahrain. President El-Sisi was received by the King of Bahrain, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and Egypt's Ambassador in Manama Reham Khalil.
The two leaders held talks that included the two delegations, followed by a working lunch hosted by the King of Bahrain in honor of the President. President El-Sisi reiterated Egypt's full support for the government and people of the Kingdom of Bahrain in confronting the difficult regional circumstances and affirmed Egypt's rejection and condemnation of the Iranian attacks on the Kingdom. The President reviewed Egypt's intensive efforts to reduce tensions and end the war, given its serious repercussions on regional security and stability, the well-being of the region's peoples, and the economy. The President commended the wisdom of King Hamad bin Isa and the Kingdom's measures to maintain regional stability, affirming Egypt's readiness to offer all forms of support to its brothers in Bahrain.

President El-Sisi emphasized that Egypt and the Gulf states share a common destiny and that their national security is indivisible, considering the security of the Arabian Gulf is integral to Egypt's national security. The two leaders also discussed ways to enhance joint action to contain the current tension and solidify the concept of collective Arab security.

The King of Bahrain welcomed the President's visit, which demonstrates the deep close relations between the two countries. The King valued Egypt's supportive stance towards the security and stability of Bahrain and all the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, expressing his appreciation for Egypt's supportive and essential role for Arab and Islamic countries over the years, describing Egypt as a bulwark of security.

The two leaders agreed to continue consultations and coordination between their countries to confront common challenges and restore peace and security in the region. They also exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. His Majesty King Hamad then saw off President El-Sisi at the airport.

The President then headed to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he was received by Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. Egypt’s Ambassador to the Kingdom, Ambassador Ehab Abu Sriea, was also present.

President El-Sisi and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman held a session of talks attended by the two countries’ delegations. During the discussions, the President underscored Egypt’s full and unwavering support for the Kingdom in confronting the current regional challenges. The President affirmed that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of Egypt’s own security, reiterating that the national security of the Arab Gulf states constitutes an extension of Egypt’s national security. President El-Sisi lauded the wisdom of the Saudi leadership under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, and affirmed Egypt’s full backing of the measures undertaken by the Kingdom to safeguard its security, stability, and the interests of its brotherly people.

The President also emphasized Egypt’s readiness to extend all forms of support to safeguard the security and stability of the region. President El-Sisi reviewed Egypt’s efforts aimed at de-escalation, including the clear messages conveyed to the Iranian side stressing the necessity of an immediate cessation of hostilities and the return to the negotiating track, in order to preserve the stability, sovereignty, and resources of states and their peoples, in accordance with international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman welcomed the President’s visit, affirming the profound historical relations between Egypt and the Kingdom. He expressed his sincere appreciation for Egypt’s solidarity and supportive stance toward Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council states, noting that Egypt’s position in the current crisis demonstrates its historical role as the heart of the Arab world, a stance the Kingdom will never forget.

The talks also focused on developments in a number of regional issues of mutual interest. The President and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince agreed to continue intensive consultations and coordination between the two countries. They also exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid al‑Fitr.

Following the meeting, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince bid farewell to President El-Sisi at the airport.

The President returned this evening to the homeland wrapping up his visits to the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
