Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi issued a presidential pardon for 54 convicts from Sinai. The decision comes in exercise of the President’s constitutional powers and in response to requests from representatives, sheikhs and elders of Rafah and Sheikh Zuwayyed in North Sinai Governorate. It also comes in recognition of the historic role played by the sons of Sinai in combating terrorism and achieving development and stability, as well as within the framework of the President's concern for the humanitarian conditions of convicts in various cases.
