Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from President of the Presidential Leadership Council of Yemen, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi.

Spokesman for the Presidency Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy stated that the call underscored the depth of the historical and fraternal relations between Egypt and Yemen. The President of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council lauded Egypt’s supportive role in safeguarding Yemen’s stability and territorial integrity, and valued Egypt’s steadfast positions toward the brotherly Yemeni people.

The call also focused on the latest developments in Yemen and ongoing efforts to restore security and stability there. President El-Sisi reiterated Egypt’s commitment to maintaining its support for Yemen and its brotherly people, confirming the vital importance of preserving the unity of the Yemeni state and its national institutions. The President also reaffirmed Egypt’s steadfast position in support of all efforts aimed at reinforcing security and stability and reaching a comprehensive political settlement that fulfills the aspirations of the Yemeni people.

During their call, the two sides emphasized the necessity to continue consultations and coordination between the two countries on various regional issues, with a view to fostering security and stability in the region and serving the interests of the two brotherly peoples.
