President El-Sisi Meets the Prime Minister and the Minister of Education

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister, Dr. Moustafa Madbouly, and Minister of Education and Technical Education, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Latif.

Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El Shennawy, said the President was briefed on the government’s measures to address challenges facing the educational process, in line with the state’s goals to improve and enhance the efficiency of the educational system. The meeting reviewed the government’s programs to significantly increase the number of classrooms, reduce student density in the educational system as well as measures to address the shortage of teachers.

The discussion also focused on integrating technology into the educational system. It reviewed the procedures followed to distribute tablets, during the current academic year, to target groups to ensure providing the students with the latest technological devices, thus achieving a significant leap in the educational process. The meeting also examined the redesigning and balanced distribution of the scientific and knowledge-based content for secondary school grades. This aims to guarantee the students’ sustainable cognitive development, while ensuring non-repetitive, and rigorously reviewed content.

Moreover, the meeting addressed the potential for expanding Egyptian-Japanese schools, which are considered successful educational models in Egypt, due to their reliance on curricula designed in line with the latest global standards.

President El-Sisi gave directives to continue efforts to improve the educational system, raise the quality of all educational components including students and teachers, and continue efforts toward digital transformation and enhancing the technological aspect of the educational process. The goal is to create a better future for the nation and prepare highly-qualified generations in all fields.
