Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi spoke by phone with the President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, following Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and several other countries.
The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said President El-Sisi affirmed that Egypt stands in full solidarity with the UAE and all countries whose territories were attacked. The President emphasized Egypt's categorical rejection of any violation of the sovereignty of Arab states or any infringement upon their security and stability, stressing that such practices constitute a serious threat to regional security and portend regional chaos that would harm the stability of the region's countries and the resources of their people.
The President reiterated Egypt's firm position on the need to return to dialogue and diplomacy to reach political solutions to the current crisis. The President noted that military solutions will not serve the interests of any party and threaten the region to slide into a vicious cycle of violence, instability, and bloodshed, which contradicts the aspirations of the region's people for prosperity, security, and stability.
The President of the United Arab Emirates expressed his deep appreciation for Egypt’s steadfast position that supports the security and stability of the UAE and all Arab countries, praising the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the two countries and peoples.
