Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi spoke by phone with the Amir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Amir of the State of Kuwait, following the Iranian attack targeting Kuwaiti territories.
The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said President El-Sisi affirmed that Egypt stands in full support and solidarity with the leadership and people of the State of Kuwait in confronting this aggression. The President stressed Egypt's categorical rejection of any violation of the sovereignty of Arab states or any infringement upon their security and stability, highlighting that such practices pose a serious threat to regional security and portend instability that will harm the stability of the region and the interests of its people.
President El-Sisi reiterated Egypt's firm position on the necessity of returning to dialogue and diplomacy as the means to reach political solutions to the current crisis. The President emphasized that resorting to military solutions will not serve the interests of any party, but rather threatens to drag the region into a spiral of chaos and instability.
The Amir of the State of Kuwait expressed his deep appreciation for Egypt’s firm and unwavering stance in supporting the security and sovereignty of the State of Kuwait and all Arab countries, stressing his support for what the President put forward regarding the priority of de-escalation and returning to the negotiating table.
