Ambassador Mohamed El‑Shennawy said Spain’s Prime Minister expressed his country’s condemnation of the incident that affected two vessels in Damietta Port on 29 July 2026 as a result of a drone attack, affirming the solidarity of Spain’s government and people with Egypt in this circumstance.
President El-Sisi noted that the competent authorities are conducting investigations to ascertain the details and circumstances of the incident, confirming the gravity of the escalation unfolding in the region.
