With great sorrow and sadness, I received the news of the passing of the esteemed scholar and great preacher, Professor Dr. Ahmed Omar Hashem, a member of the Senior Scholars Council of Al-Azhar, and the former president of Al-Azhar University. He left us after a lifetime of remarkable contributions to both religion and knowledge. His profound legacy of wisdom will remain enduring and firmly rooted throughout time.
May Allah have mercy on this great scholar and grant him a place in His eternal paradise.
I extend my heartfelt condolences and sympathy to his family, loved ones, and all his students, both within the country and abroad.
