Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received at Ras El-Tin Palace in Alexandria Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
The Spokesman of the Presidency said that President El-Sisi and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed held a bilateral meeting followed by extended discussions between the two countries' delegations.
The President welcomed His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed, stressing his country’s leverage in Egypt. He also praised the brotherly and historical relations between the two countries and peoples that the Arab countries should deem an example to follow, stressing the keenness to continue to develop those relations, thus contributing to the interests of both countries.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed expressed his pleasure to visit Egypt, pointing out that the UAE’s government and people appreciate and respect Egypt. He also stressed the UAE's interest in its strategic relations with Egypt in light of its pivotal role in supporting stability and security in the region.
The talks between the two sides dealt with ways of boosting bilateral cooperation on various levels. They also reviewed the latest regional developments and issues of mutual concern, stressing their keenness to continue coordination and consultation to address the challenges facing the Arab nation and condemning foreign intervention in its affairs which jeopardizes the stability and security of its peoples.
President El-Sisi and Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan witnessed the signing ceremony of a number of joint cooperation agreements between Egypt and the UAE in the fields of housing, irrigation, trade and industry.
