At the level of bilateral relations, the President affirmed Egypt's keenness to further strengthen bilateral cooperation with the UAE in various fields and have more meetings held among senior officials of the two countries on a regular basis. This is done by optimizing all available opportunities to enhance integration between them.
With regard to the regional issues, the talks discussed a number of the most prominent issues in the region, alongside that of the Renaissance Dam. The talks reflected a mutual understanding between the two sides regarding ways to deal with these issues; they agreed to continue making joint efforts to pursue political settlements to the existing crises in a number of countries in the region, restore their national institutions, and preserve their capabilities. To that end, a comprehensive vision would be devised with a view to developing the system of the joint Arab action in order to ensure strengthening the Arab capabilities to face both the challenges the region is grappling with and the increasing threats to regional security.
It was also agreed, in this regard, to maximize the Egyptian-Emirati cooperation and coordination as a basic pillar to protect the Arab national security and to counter foreign meddling in the sovereign affairs of the countries of the region, which led to fueling tensions, conflicts, and terrorist and extremist activities.
In this context, the President stressed Egypt's adherence to its firm stance on Gulf security and its rejection of any practices seeking to destabilize it.
