The President welcomed their contributions, as development partners in Egypt, and confirmed keenness to communicate directly with the foreign investors, so as to enhance the state’s cooperation with them, along with the Egyptian private sector.
President El-Sisi looked forward to expanding the companies’ activity in Egypt, in support of the country’s development process, particularly localizing industry, transferring knowledge and technology, training and refining technical cadres. This is in light of the modern infrastructure available in Egypt as well as the various energy sources and the promising and huge opportunities provided by the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) for any investment and industrial activities, in light of a general stable climate in Egypt at the political, security and economic levels and the developmental approach backed by the highest will and political decision.
The heads of companies expressed their honor to meet with the President and confirmed their interest in working in Egypt and expanding their current projects, in light of the huge and promising investment opportunities provided by the public transportation sector in Egypt, which are considered a gateway to maximizing investments in the Arab region and Africa.
The attendees also lauded Egypt’s progress in the infrastructure, as well as measures taken to improve and encourage the investment climate. This is in addition to the major national projects underway and the efficiency and speed of their implementation at unprecedented rates, which contributed to Egypt being a model and a success story to be emulated in terms of cooperation with international institutions and companies.
The Spokesman added that the meeting reviewed the current aspects of cooperation with a number of international companies present in the field of public transportation, especially with regard to manufacturing railway cars and electric vehicles, as well as discussing the overall opportunities available for future projects that can be agreed upon with the Egyptian government.
